What to Expect on the Day of your Appointment

Upon arrival to the center you may expect the following events to take place:

  • You must present a photo ID upon entering the facility.
  • Anyone accompanying you for your appointment will be required to present a photo ID.
  • You and anyone accompanying you will not be permitted to bring a purse, backpack or bag of any kind into the building.
  • Small children will not be permitted in the building.
  • Payment will be expected prior to receiving services. If someone other than yourself will be paying for the services, be certain that they do not leave prior to paying the fees for your services.
  • You should be dressed in a comfortable, loose fitting, two piece outfit.
  • You should have a sweater and/or be wearing socks if you chill easily in air conditioning.
  • You will be asked to complete medical history forms.
  • Routine laboratory tests will be performed, including a pregnancy test.
  • You will meet with a counselor who will explain the abortion procedure, your post-op instructions and assist you in selecting a birth control method.
  • Payment for your services will then be collected. We are unable to accept personal checks; however, for your convenience we do accept major credit cards and cash.
  • The procedure will then take place and you will be given an appropriate recovery period. During this time, our recovery team will be assessing your condition, reviewing the post-op instructions with you and preparing you for your departure.

    Please remember that every patient is an individual and every abortion procedure differs from person to person according to gestational age and the type of procedure being performed.

    Waiting times may vary. We thank you in advanced for your understanding about any prolonged waiting times you may experience. You may be assured that when it is your turn to be seen you will receive the same amount of time and consideration and be treated with the utmost care and attention.
